The William Messner-Loebs Artemis stories spinning out of Wonder Woman.

Especially the Artemis: Requiem miniseries, with a young Ed Benes trying to follow Mike Deodato in doing a Jim Lee knockoff (with enormous amounts of buttflesh).

It is Nineties, and rough, and sketchy, and crazy, and awesome.

I occasionally get pissy about how people who are not Bill Loebs write Artie, but it probably sounds really weird to say, "No, look at this comic with the angular inks and the butts, this is the character, you're getting her wrong."
