I heard she's not that great of a person. She seems to be super business oriented, which really kills her appeal for me on so many levels.

I follow her and I've heard nothing of the sort? Apparently she's really genuine and a sweetheart. I don't know what you mean by business oriented... she works hard or what? She's definitely not a "fake geek" if that's what you're getting at.

I keep hearing the exact opposite? That she's really sweet and treats people well. But maybe that's killed for you by the business sense? IDGI.

FWIW, the time I met her at a Con, she was lovely and very nice. Granted, it was about three minutes or so of interaction, but I didn't get a fake/bad vibe from her at all.

Like... she's self employed and works in an industry where you have to be really smart and hustle to get jobs and also not be screwed over by predatory agents, companies, etc. Being business oriented seems like the sensible thing to do if you want to survive and not have other people steal all your money.

Yeah, this, seriously.

Like, I'm definitely not a big fan (I found her Dragon Age cameo to be really ham-fisted and annoying, much like Gackt in FF7:Crisis Core), but I can respect the level of business smarts and hustle she has.

I wish I was more business oriented.

Look at this anon trying to make out that having any business sense is a BAD thing in an industry where a person has to be able to direct their own projects to completion (instead of faffing about on the internet) and to take the initiative in forging relationships (with fans, with other talent, and yes, with business contacts, good heavens!).

How much do you want to bet anon only finds it unattractive in a woman? Being business oriented is seen is a positive trait in men, because that's what society expects of them. It's good if men are sharp, career-oriented and ambitious. But when women do it... ooh, suddenly it's unfeminine and not attractive. Women are supposed to be soft, sweet and nice. They're not supposed to be business savvy and ruthless, because that's not pretty.
