Posting too many...

* photos of weed. Seriously, we get it, you love weed.
* selfies
* pleas for money
* promo type stuff like "follow me on instagram!"
* videos/music - mostly stuff not to my taste and even if it was, I wouldn't be looking on tumblr for music recs

I feel like if someone has to constantly say they love weed, they don't actually do it that much.

That's not my experience. I know people who smoke pot but it's not a big deal, but the potheads are CONSTANTLY high and never ever shut the fuck up about pot. All their clothing is hemp and most of their activities (save the rare times they actually have a paying job, usually in food service) are pot related (smoking pot, talking about pot, or in activism for legalization.) Bonus points if they're white and have dreads and dress like hobos.

I've known too many people like this to dismiss the stereotype.

I think it's one of two possibilities.

1) Someone who doesn't really do it but wants to look cool.
2) Potheads who have no idea how boring they sound.

It's just like fandom. Sometimes you meet someone who's sooooo into fandom that they lose all perspective about it. They fail to realize that it's not everyone's obsession and that they're boring the tits off people by never talking about anything else except that fandom.
