When they started posting ableist stuff and made a post saying that they had been censoring themselves before and were no long going to do so and that anyone who had a problem with that could unfollow them. So I did.

They started headcanoning a character as asexual even though canonically she's sexually attracted to people. The reason was because it was this person's favorite character and he thought asexual people needed more representation, so he decided the character was asexual, and started getting mad at people who didn't feel the same way.

Constant posts about how they've almost reached x number of followers! Just y more followers until they make it!

I really don't care and that just put the number of posts they made that I didn't care about over the top so that there weren't enough that I did care about to balance it out.

Usually posting too much. If you post 5 million times in a day I just can't follow you.

That's why I prefer following art blogs where they don't reblog and just post their own art.

-Constant griping about the fact that people dare to ship their notps and endless posts about how they "just can't ship this". Also some annoyingly immature political posts

(stating why you disagree with a politician/candidate is one thing, reblogging a bunch of petty shallow jokes about them being old or ugly or whatever? I can't respect that. And its not because of their political stance. I have a good friend who's in the same stance. He gives explanations for why he disagrees with their policies and focuses on that.)

Also I'm starting to want to unfollow another , or at least block all their posts related to a certain fandom (LoK). Mostly because they get over-defensive about their ship that sank and are always trying to explain why the other ship is WRONG and fighting with its fans and then occasionally playing the victim about it. Also they way they're getting about how Rebecca Sugar does the relationship "properly" and better than the other. They're on different networks. They each handled getting the relationships made canon in a way that worked for them.

I follow so few people that thankfully, I haven't run into this yet.

But I once considered unfollowing someone who was ridiculously intolerant of a series that... let's just say was dear to a large percentage in our shared fandom. Like they would go out of their way to bash it, but would give free passes to other series that had the same faults.

Fortunately they've mellowed out since then... hopefully I'm not speaking too soon here.

One girl got a bit too explicit for me about her celeb crush and she also got a bit too SJW (and she was Swedish, so very SJW about things that really wasn't part of her culture, or so I would assume. I know Sweden has it's own problems about racism and such, but everything she posted was American. This applies to a German girl I used to follow too)

Others have also been too SJW for me and other posted waaaaaay TMI about themselves (that were not behind cuts)

people being wilfully resistant to learning more about social justice issues. i'm not a ~tumblr sjw but the backlash against the so-called tumblr-style movement is tiring to me. i don't want to follow people whose opinions drain me.

too many memes and not enough fandom content.

people who reblog a lot of stuff relating to 4chan. memes, screenshots, the like. i came to tumblr to get away from 4chan.

I had two pre-tumblr fandom friends that I had to unfollow for one reason or another.

-Turned into a no-fact-checking SJ blog instead of posting fandom stuff. It mainly happened around the ferguson events and they kept reblogging incorrect information and didn't tag anything so I couldn't just blacklist their posts.

-Was generally a downer about everything and complained about stuff they didn't like in fandom, especially if they felt their opinion was superior to another group (ie. "why does anyone even like [thing] it's so lame, [stuff] is obviously better, scrubs"). Generally just ignored their bitchy posts but during e3 they called anyone who liked Nintendo's conference "nintendrones." That's when I knew it was a lost cause to even try interacting with them anymore.

As a side note, I also hate selfies with a passion and will unfollow blogs if they don't tag their selfies. Most of the blogs I follow are fandom-based, so they're not something I want on my dash. Post shitty memes all you want, but oh man do I hate selfies.

The most typical one is a blog changing the content it posts so I'll unfollow because I don't want my dash clogged with something I don't care for.

But I have had an instance of a blogger who would disregard anyone's opinion if they shipped something she didn't like, yet would complain if someone did that to her, and she was a fan of shitting all over one of my favourite characters to prop up her OTP at the time(I unfollowed her very swiftly after that started up).

When I was on tumblr, I had a liberal finger on the block button. But then I gave up playing wack-a-mole and moved everything to blogger.

I followed someone who used to post neat stuff about history and social science but then they stopped posting that stuff and it became a constant stream of complaining about their life with no indication that they were doing anything to fix any of the zillions of personal problems they constantly whined about. So I unfollowed them and was much happier for it.

Referring to heterosexuals as "straighties" in a derogatory manner.

Posting too much stuff from fandoms I'm not interested in.

Turning out super SJW and seeing the world in black and white. Culture appropriation and constantly accusing white people of not having an ounce of culture. Also, all of the super speshul snowflake identities and sexualities.

Oh, and not tagging shit. At all. Ain't that hard people. Tag it and I can block it. You can be happy and I can be happy. Win/Win scenario.

Posting vast amounts of things I'm not interested in and not tagging anything so I can't block them. I'm sure Steven Universe, the Avengers, etc. are perfectly lovely fandoms and all, but I have zero interest in them and I'd rather not wade through 300 boring posts a day.

Posting vast amounts of anything, really; if everyone I follow is posting like 200 things a day, that is more than I can keep up with even if they are nice posts, and I like to be able to get through my entire dash without 70 more posts piling up each time I reach the end

I have a high tolerance for people so usually I unfollow people because they haven't posted anything in six months. There was one person I unfollowed because I felt they were using feminism to put women who were different then them down and it had gotten to a point where they just made me angry so I unfollowed. It was a shame because the first few months they posted some amazing meta on a lot of anime I was watching at the time.
