I'm gonna just go ahead and say World War One was pretty sexist. 10 million military personnel and 7 million civilian casualties, mostly men. It left a nasty demographic mark on a bunch of countries that suddenly had a gender imbalance in their population.

"Men are discriminated against because only they get killed in wars!Women have it easy in comparison" - completely ignoring the impact on civilians of war on your own soil - ask the Belgians. Somewhat similar to "only men have to do hard physical jobs! They are disadvantaged in comparison to female privileged desk workers" - completely ignoring the international situation in which much hard rural labour is done by women

So... wait. Are you saying that most WWI casualties WEREN'T men? Or are you saying it's bad manners to point out that they were? I'm confused.

AYRT is saying that, although the statement is true, the underlying implications which the poster means to draw from it are not. The underlying narrative which it implies is flawed, even though the statement is not.

Which is fairly obvious from reading the post in question, which in turn leads me to suspect that you're not arguing in good faith here.
