He/she shouldn't have spoken to Gaimen, but tbh, I agree with the OP in that comment.

None of those people are even remotely the characters and the writing was shit.

Yes, I'm a bitter book fan. Eat it.

This

How dare someone prefer the books and express their opinion.

lol no, that that wasn't "preferring the books and expressing their opinion;" it was patronizingly lecturing an author who's intimately involved in the process of adapting his works about how stupid or apathetic he is for working with the adaptation team and liking the scripts they've shown him.

There's preferring the books and expressing your opinion, and then there's condescendingly telling an author he's dumb for using the writer and actors from a show you don't like.

The thing is, I've never met a book fan who was a fan of all the books - the first two are very, very different to the last two, and people either seem to love the two thrillers OR the Hannibal-centric dramas. They're very different books.

Well, I love Red Dragon, silence, AND Hannibal. You know. The only three books he ever released. .<.

Er, Hannibal Rising?

Unless you're ignoring it because it was bad and he was more or less forced to write it, in which case - carry on!

There are only three books.
