Sometimes I love Sweden. Their far right part is holding a gay pride parade. I can only dream.

But...yeah...fuck those Swedish leftists. It's racist to assume that Muslims will have a problem with a gay pride parade. Muslim =/= homophobic.

As a Swede I can attest that the "far right" AKA the Sweden Democrats are social conservative which translates to the conservative wing of the Democratic party in the US (if even that.)

Yeah, no. I know Swedes think their country is the closest to perfect in the world, but as an American with sane Swedish friends and family, I've been listening to their rants and reading articles about the SD for years, and they are further right than our Republicans. Please don't pretend to know about US politics when you clearly don't.

Well if you knew the context, you'd also know that this is happening because of racism. I am assuming a bit, we are talking Sverigedemokratane right? The Swedish Nazi party*, they definitely would do this to "prove" that muslims can't live in Sweden because they are against The Gays and are clearly violent, rapist who both take all our jobs and steal all our things and are only living on the state.

*Sorry Swedes, if it makes you feel less left out we got FRP they are not much better... And as I call them the Nazi party, your party gets the same nickname. I had a friend once who tried to say that you could vote FRP and not be racist: This is the party that proposed creating immigrant camps in Africa to stop immigrants coming to Norway. Ignoring the fact that most our immigration isn't from Africa so we'd have to somehow fly them all to Africa, get an African country to let us build on their land and you know use millions of dollars creating it, but most of all it is insanely fucking stupid. But sure you aren't racist if you vote for them... whoops I went on a rant, sometimes I talk politics...

A party in my country is proposing the same thing. They claim they're not anti-refugees, they just don't want to see our asylum system abused by people who don't have the right to asylum but come anyway to ~~abuse our welfare system~~. They harp on and on about how they don't mean to turn away ~~real~~ refugees, but the apparently fake ones from Kosovo.

SO WHY THE HELL PROPOSE REFUGEE CAMPS IN AFRICA YOU IDIOTS?! The refugees from Kosovo that you're raging against aren't going to make a pit-stop in Africa, for God's sake.

But hey, these politicians are not rascist: they only rage against those selfish refugees from Kosovo and want to build camps in Africa so those refugees won't even reach European shore. But they're not anti-refugees, totes honest.

If this is a thing that's happening, I would say it was racism/xenophobia motivated.

I have endured enough rants about those misogynist awful intolerant Muslims from misogynist awful intolerant non-Muslims, to really fucking side-eye all that kind of opportunistic moral-high-ground bullshit. Also, no one cared about RAWA until Sep 11.

Speaking as a gay person (who has travelled through many Muslim countries and hey still alive and well and had a great time!) who thinks a "gay pride" parade specifically to say "fuck you" to Muslims is childish and stupid.
