The concept is not bullshit, it's just often utilized in a very black and white kind of way. Cultures merge and borrow, that's normal. But it's still in bad taste to wear something like a Native American war bonnet.

Fucking with other people's religion is a bad thing. Wearing a racist caricature of someone's culture is a bad thing. There is no reason to put both these things in a stupid umbrella term that is mainly used to talk shit about people who are interested in different cultures then there own
