I believe it's the same game yes, just named differently where I live(I forget it's called Clue in the US). It's the best Monopoly(I mean it will still ruin relationships but it's got Pokémon to help soften the blow).

Ahh.

I never experienced the whole "monopoly ruining relationships" mostly because i'm part of a family full of noncompetitive people (aside from my sister) who eventually just get to the point where we no longer care who wins or loses, just as long as it's over.

Pokemon makes it keep my interest longer I suppose.

My family is pretty competitive so board-games will start off fine and then spiral into a streak of one-upping crazy(and cheating, can't forget the cheating) but it's all in good fun and none of us actually take it personally(the closest we got to that was playing the Civilization board-game and my dad decided to attack my mum, because she had the strongest army so he wanted to take it down a peg, and uh, he nearly slept on the sofa that night. We don't play that game anymore).

But yeah Monopoly mostly just takes forever and half the time we get bored and call it quits before anyone actually wins.
