Smutfics specifically?

1) Character A is really stressed out or taking things too seriously, and Character B really cares about them and so they take it upon themselves to calm Character A down in the best way they know: lots of hot bondage sex, and then also lots and lots of aftercare

2) Character A and Character B are trapped in a really small space, and can't help rubbing up against each other, and then fuck

3) Character A and Character B are in a club, and dance, and then fuck

4) Character A and Character B somehow become telepathic, and fuck

5) Sex pollen

6) Sex pollen that also makes the characters telepathic, and then they fuck

Add some exhibitionism or voyeurism to that and I'm a happy camper.

Also power imbalances can be really interesting depending on the characters. (Especially when said power imbalance is sort of reversed or evened out, if that makes sense.)

The slow burn. As in, they can't fuck all day (or maybe even a few days) for some reason, but they're in close proximity and keep managing to get just little tastes of what they want so badly (a quick, dirty kiss, a grope). Then finally managing to get enough of a window to go for it and just exploding with the release of sexual tension. Some manhandling is a given.
