Yeah, but if its people's opinions they generally agree with (critics or friends), why spend money on something you probably won't like?

It's one thing to say "I'm not going to spend my money on this, because I'm not convinced I'll like it." It's a completely different thing to say "I wanted to see this, but I didn't, and now I'm sure it sucks!"
