Re: Is anyone tired of the "realistic anal sex" trend?

"Why is it always anal sex or slash that's targeted, anyway? Nobody cries about how a vag that's been soaking in a pair of thick jeans in the middle of summer should be swampy or else it's unrealistiiiic"

In regards to this, my guess is that, with slash, and the accusations of fetishization, women who write it want to avoid coming across as OMG IT'S SO HOT FANTASY PORN and so they write it "realistically" in order to demonstrate that they care about presenting it correctly and don't just want to see the HOT MENZ get it on.

I, personally, don't have any issue with admitting I like to see the HOT MENZ get it on, but some women might or have had the charge of fetishization lobbed too many times.

With female characters, writing fantasy sex doesn't have that connotation of fetishization I'd imagine.
