Some of that is less for shoving it at cis people and more trying to give kids hope. There's always been this fairly ugly narrative that the later you transition the worse off you are and you'll never be beautiful and you'll never 'pass', and certainly no normal person will ever love you only freaks with fetishes.

So it's kind of a catch 22 because you want to go both "Looks aren't everything, it's what's inside that counts!" but also "Yeah, you're allowed to want to look smokin' hot without being shamed for being a vain shallow piece of shit."
