IA as well. The villains are sometimes more complex than the heroic protagonist, and that sometimes makes then interesting from an intellectual standpoint, but for me the emotional connection is always with whoever is trying to Do Good.

(Actually for me, anti-heroes and anti-villains are the most fascinating.)
