Boring-looking old men made you learn about feelings?

I don't think 'feels' and 'feelings' are the same thing, at least I don't think that's how OP meant it, judging by the context of the secret.

They look like a couple of middle-aged businessmen/politicians/dads or really anything else that might as well be a vaguely male-looking robot.

I guess you're...kinda right? But it's not really about how they look, anyway. IMHO, neither of them is boring at all, they are immensely deep and interesting characters (don't think they're boring lookswise, either).
