That's honestly the problem with it. Hank is known as a wife-beater to the public because Marvel won't let him move on from it. Even though it's been clarified multiple times that Hank didn't do it intentionally and even Jan acknowledges it wasn't and he never did it again and was horrified with himself, Marvel just won't let him. move. the. fuck. on from it. Hank's a shit for plenty of other reasons - Ultron, but for some reason the wife beater claim sticks.

Shit, Batman has had 2 of his kids die and abused Dick - and recently beat the shit out of Jason - on a regular basis but this is never brought up cause it's never harped on.
