Logically, I know there's nothing to be jealous about, nothing was taken from me, and I am entitled to nothing, but every time there's some specific reminder of the thing. fucking. ugly. green. eyes. burning

You know what might help? Go out and do something so awesome that other people will be jealous of your accomplishment. I'm not kidding, feeling like you've done something cool is a great antidote to irrational jealousy.

Haha, I'm not sure that would help in my case. The things I have some (okay) talent for are either fandom, or are related to the thing I'm jealous of.

I did throw a bunch of shitty 2000s songs from my half-mangled file collection into Winamp, and it did help put me in a better mood, even the dance songs. It's been so long since I just listened to a buttload of music without analyzing it or caring what the hell it meant or wasn't supposed to mean. I mean, it was nice. I played a buttload of Picma too, and had fun even though I couldn't complete the 50x50 puzzle.
