I think if you shoot lions or other "trophy" animals* then you are a douchebag. If what he did was technically illegal, or can be blamed on his guides, idk. But he's still a douchebag.

*I'm not necessarily against hunting theoretically, if it's to cull overpopulations of animals, or an ecologically healthy amount to be used for food. But safari hunting isn't that, and it's absolutely disgusting how hunters will justify it, and these hunting schemes will make them honestly believe the fee they pay is "helping Africa" or whatever, or even, more disgustingly, be used for "conservation". Canned hunting is nothing of the sort.
