Re: What would you try if you were trying meat for the first time?

nayrt, but I'm not sure I see the issue with that? I get food stamps (and not much, at that), and I almost never buy meat because I enjoy like...eating every day? If I stock up on beans and lentils, that means that I'm guaranteed to have a full stomach most days. If I skimp on other stuff and buy meat, I get really great meals for a few days, and then a bunch of really shitty ones that wear off within an hour for a week. It's not really a nice way to live.

The exception is that sometimes bagged frozen chicken breasts go on sale, and I can comfortably get one of those. That'll last me a while. But they're not always on sale, so I don't always get them.
