Re: Doctor woes?

My sympathies, I hope you can find a sympathetic doctor or other solution.

I'm in Australia and have had difficulty accessing sleeping pills from doctors. I've had to really "shop" around, try them for other issues first, avoid low income areas (!!), bring in my old box with one or two left (to show I'm not a desperate addict), talk eloquently and responsibly about how I really don't want to form a dependency and I'm so careful to take a half 2-3 times a week, am also getting therapy, have tried herbs, blah blah the spiel.

I used to go across to Asia quite a bit on cheap backpacking trips and was able to stockpile benzos from Laos, melatonin from Singapore, etc... but not suggesting that as a solution!!!

These days my insomnia is quite a bit better, but also I was able to switch to doxylamine successfully, which is available over the counter here and not addictive and in my case very little tolerance formed.
