I first understood Caryl as Carl/Daryl (not in fandom but used to watch the show) and I got incredibly freaked out.

I'm kind of at the point where I find all Daryl shippers obnoxious (sorry OP, nothing personal) especially how it's turned into a Beth versus Carol thing. Both ships feel ridiculous to me for different reasons.

I ship Daryl/no one because he's awkward. Plus most people on the show are some level of fucked up or dead so it's hard for me to ship. I'm already dreading when inevitably either Glen and/or Maggie dies.

I agree so hard. Although I don't know if "because he's awkward" is the right phrasing. I ship Daryl/no one because he genuinely does not seem even slightly romantically or sexually interested in anyone. It doesn't seem like he's in to that kind of thing at all.

I stay away from TWD fandom for the most part, because there isn't much fic anyway (or at least there didn't used to be...has AO3 exploded with Carol/Daryl or Daryl/Beth fic?) and I don't feel any major need to get more out of the show other than the occasional discussion or reblog.

I do ship Carol/Daryl, but I don't think it's canon and don't see Daryl ever getting involved with anyone in canon. He just seems...uninterested to me. (At least in sex, but probably in romance too.)

This ship war seems silly for me. I don't like Beth/Daryl, but people are going to ship it and that is fine; people have different tastes. Not a big deal.

(Have people been bothering the cast about it on twitter? I know when I see an interview with Reedus he usually gets asked about shipping, and I don't understand it. People ship Daryl with everyone and none of it is canon...what is he supposed to say?)
