Honestly I'm just excited for a chance to wander a slightly more colorful wasteland. The Fallout series has been a lot of brown since 1996 -- which is fine, don't get me wrong, FO1/2 were from a different time and I rather enjoy Fallout 3's greenish blue and NV's loads of orange -- and it's nice to see them doing something a little different with the series. Bonus points because it'll upset the Old Fans.

Personally, I can't stand high school AUs because they remind me of the fact that I'm very much not in high school anymore, and haven't been for a long time.

I also dislike how obviously American the vast majority seem to be, regardless of where the source material is set. I mean, would it kill you to do a bit of research on what high school is like in other countries?
