I Just Exchanged on an Apartment

Oh god, I'm not meant to be this old.

It's in one of the most diverse places in europe, and huge redevelopment in the area means it's a great place to invest in. Not exactly somewhere you'd raise a family, but hell it's a large apartment block new build aimed at professionals with excellent security.

Any home owners got any advice on what I'll need to prepare for a new place that might not be obvious. And on letting to tenants.

Renovations

I know there are some people on here who have renovated houses. Has anyone renovated a garage into a living space? We have a garage that we want to turn into a room and living area. A half bath would be great but running a sewer and water line is probably very expensive.

The garage is already dry walled from the previous owners. But one of the walls will need to be fixed and a floor laid down. Is it worth doing this so that we can move in a family member? Any advice on costs or what to do or how to get started?

I'm pretty sure Mike Huckabee remains my favorite (no, not really, guys) for the crazy shit that comes out of his mouth, but honestly, I almost feel sorry for the Republicans because all of their hopefuls are totally insane. When you make Jeb Bush look somewhat reasonable, you know you have a problem.
