Creepy Stories (Real life edition)
This is what I use my first thread on??Post your real life, personal, creepy stories!
Re: Creepy Stories (Real life edition)
In the same apartment radios and TVs would go on by themselves and in the bathroom, my mom and I use to feel like we were being watched. My mom finally had to bless the place. Before that, we found out a man had died there back in the 70s. It was damn creepy but things settled down after the blessing.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-01 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)I have twice felt something sit down on the edge of my bed back in my father's house. Like something that felt like the size and weight of an adult person. One of the times I was home alone. I didn't dare to look up. That house really just creeps me out in general as it's large and fairly old (don't know exactly how old, but I know the former owners hid jews in the basement during WWII. Jews that made it out alive I feel I must add.). I really prefer not to be there alone.
Also there was the time my friends and I were on a ghost tour in Edinburgh and the alarm on my friend's phone just randomly went off about ten minutes after we were done at a really weird time. That wasn't so creepy though, just a bit strange, especially considering that the tour guide had said people often experienced odd things with electronical devices.

Not so creepy-creepy, more odd creepy, but -
I can lucid dream sometimes. Every so often I set myself goals to try and achieve, things to 'practice'. Like telekinesis and stuff. I do a lot of flying in my dreams, and once I decided that I was going to see if I could break earth's orbit in-dream.
So I flew as high as I could, and then my subconscious did this obnoxious thing it likes to do sometimes where it sticks a ceiling in the middle of the sky. So I tore up through the ceiling, like pulling it apart with my hands, and then I found myself in my own room, in my house, at night.
I didn't look at my bed to check if I could see myself asleep, though, and I kind of regret not trying to move something on my desk.
I also went through a period where I'd constantly see black things moving at the corner of my eye. Probably bug paranoia.
Re: Creepy Stories (Real life edition)
Back when I was in college (graduated in 2010), I was involved in the local anime club. Every semester we'd start off by showing the first episodes of whatever looked good that season, then vote on what we'd actually be watching. There was one show, probably in the fall of '09, that I was mildly interested in, but we never ended up watching.
Fast-forward to 2011, I'm in grad school being the weirdo grad student that still shows up to anime club, and the club leader announces the lineup...and it's the same show from undergrad that I was interested in. I even remember making some snarky comment about how this looked okay the time I heard about it but hopefully it'll be better than it seemed (it was). Kind of weird that we were watching an older show when we usually saw the new stuff, but whatever.
The weird thing? I eventually looked up the show, and it didn't even come out until 2011, years after I had left undergrad. The really weird thing is that the anime in question was fucking Steins;Gate, the anime about why sending text messages backwards through time is a terrible plan and leads to remembering things that never happened.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-02 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)(Actually, the OP just said "creepy" and didn't specify "supernatural" so I just figured anything creepy.)

(Anonymous) 2015-08-02 10:00 am (UTC)(link)I know that this is a typical presentation for sleep paralysis, but nobody has ever explained to me why it has never happened to me anywhere else but that house--in fact, after I switched bedrooms, it stopped happening to me there too.
The other weird and creepy thing: one night, I was taking a walk (just around the block, for a bit of fresh air) and I saw something move, just at the edge of my field of vision. I turned my head just enough to see a white dog coming toward me--about greyhound size, with that same sighthound build, and really skinny, almost skeletal.
I stopped and turned all the way around and it was nowhere to be seen. No matter how fast it could run, I doubt anything could disappear that quickly.
I hadn't had anything to drink, and I wasn't medicated in any way. If it was a hallucination, it's the only one I've ever had.
