Normal is overrated. And there are many people with the same problem. (Because there always are, for any given problem. ;)
Practice makes perfect. Although I'm not saying that you should get better at fandom interactions. Some fandoms are no good. Run from those.

Not 'real' fans line is somewhat true, in a sense that they're not fans of the same thing as you are, because they view canon differently, so they're fans of a different version of canon.

I'm starting to wonder if my latest fandom is one of the ones I should run from, but I enjoy the show and I wanted so much to share that with somebody. None of my friends care about it, though. I thought somebody in the established fandom would have similar views, but as it turns out they don't, and that got me to wondering what exactly is wrong with me...

Well, Sherlock fandom is a shitshow right now, so if it's Sherlock fandom you're talking about then yup, it's one of the ones. (I say this as someone who loves the non-shitshow parts of Sherlock fandom to bits and happily continues to weather the shitshow parts because the good parts are worth it.)

In the similar circumstances, when no one cares for the thing I do, I go to the next fandom. Same if the fandom is small.

UPD I mean really small.
