I'm happy you had a sex dream, OP, and I'm sorry they are so rare for you. Sex dreams are the best. They just make everything during the day go better.

I'm always really surprised at people who don't get sex dreams, though. I've always thought of it as a common thing for everyone since they happen nearly every night for me.

I hardly have sex dreams. I prefer adventure dreams with superpowers, anyway.
You can have sex irl. You can't fly, or walk through walls, or be Cloud Strife irl.

I suppose. But sex dreams give you endorphins and literally make you feel happier. I know that after a night without one or where I was woken in the middle of one, I'll feel more frustrated and depressed for the whole next day.

Plus, my sex dreams very often include superpowers or other fandom things because 90% of my dreams are fandom related.

Well if they work for you, then I'm glad you have them :)
The dreams I wake up the most stoked are ones that had exceptionally beautiful landscapes (last night... wow. Epic wow. So beautiful), or where I get to do awesome stuff, and somehow for me sex dreams don't really do it. I love the plotty dreams, too. Not long ago I had a dream where I was enjoying the story so much I actually refrained from taking control of it, just to see what would happen next.

Sounds like each of us gets to enjoy our preferred type of dream XD

Have to say, though I do get sex dreams on a semi-regular basis the dreams where I am super powered or generally going on an adventure/being awesome are a lot more common.

Super powered sex dreams the ultimate combination perhaps?

For me flying dreams are the most common, but I never really get tired of them. Besides, my subconscious comes up with really nice environments. I've started to draw them when I wake up, because I like the imagery so much XD
