Where does the name come from?

I was trying to figure out who was being shipped with Snape, and I couldn't...

From a challenge issued back in the early 2000s by someone named Severitus, I think. Or they named the challenge Severitus, I'm not 100% sure about that anymore. But it Severitus was orginially a writing challenge, the term got used in a more general sense for dad!Snape fic later on.
