I know how you feel, OP. There are only three non-SFF live-action shows that I like enough to read/write fic (one of which is pictured in your secret), and I can never get enough SFF/apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic AUs of them. I have an entire frickin' folder of terrible post-apocalyptic idfic WIPs about those shows, most of which will never ever see the light of day because I'm embarrassed to have written them.

I dunno. Hollywood has tons of middle aged men who are still considered sexy and marketed as such in films. It's middle aged women who are usually SOL unless they're Helen Mirren. Even when the lead is a guy in his mid to late 40s or older, his female love interest will be younger than 35.
