Women penetrating men is kink now? Gawd...

(Anonymous) 2015-08-03 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
na

I...think it's probably been one for a very long time?

(Anonymous) 2015-08-03 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
this. I mean, it's probably more prevalent nowadays but I would imagine that there's pretty much always been some dudes who have liked to be penetrated by women. maybe Jesus liked it up the butt who knows

Mary Magdalen learned a lot from her time as a prostitue and Jesus took great pleasure in her skills.

It's been one for quite a while.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-03 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
My point is that WHY is it considered kinky/power exchange? It isn't when men penetrate women, or is it? Seems really essentialist/sexist to me to say it's kinky

but hey, I'm queer.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-04 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
Anon of initial comment: I make/made no value judgment about the activity regarding kinkiness; I was simply participating in a fic challenge and got pegging on my bingo card. Seemed reasonable to try it out on a willing live partner. (Probably TMI, but I used a handheld dildo as I didn't want to invest in additional equipment. We already incorporated ass play now and then so it really didn't seem all that outre.)

(Anonymous) 2015-08-04 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
It's seen as a woman dominating a man. Woman dominating a man = kinky! Man dominating a woman = totally normal and expected.

Even though I like the idea of pegging partly because it seems dominant, I kind of hate the idea that penetration = dominance always. Honestly, I think that idea comes from women being being expected to be submissive, but people have sort of turned it the other way around, so a woman can be dominant, but only if she's penetrating someone. There's just no reason penetration NEEDS to be an act of dominance (though if you want it to be, that's fine too).

A lot of kinks can be seen as sexist or essentialist. There is a taboo-ness to cis women penetrating cis men just due to the fact the perceived default position in that type relationship is penis-in-vagina sex. That is just a fact. Even a penis in cis woman's ass is seen a something of a kink, though anal is more accepted now. You are being purposefully obtuse if you fail to realize that the vast majority of people see certain types of sex acts as default due to their prevalence and acceptance in society. Other sex acts, such as pegging, are seen as kinky due to the fact they are not the norm.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-03 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
No big deal OP, a lot of people fantasize while they're having sex. Hell, your boyfriend probably does it on occasion too; it's pretty normal. Maybe one day you could talk to him about trying out some of the kinks you write (...assuming that you don't write things like, idk, vore and other extreme things. Those might be more difficult to act out)

(Anonymous) 2015-08-04 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
I think people who write secrets like this just like to brag that they are having sex.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-04 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds like you're mad you're not having any.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-04 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
That was a shitty thing to say, anon.

I love how people abloobloo that OMG SEX ISN'T NECESSARY but that doesn't stop the fact that if you're not an asexual and you would like to have sex and can't do so for some reason then it kind of blows chunks.

It's like wanting to eat a pizza but having to drink water instead.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-04 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
DA

Anon didn't say it didn't blow chunks. But, something blowing chunks doesn't mean people are justified in being bitter cynics accusing others of doing things just to brag either.

It sucks to want pizza but have to drink water. That doesn't make it reasonable to accuse random people talking about what to have for dinner of bragging about how they have food and you don't.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-04 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
SA

It can suck to be reminded, I get that... attributing other people talking about it to malice or selfishness just because it's something you want and don't have is a step too far, is all I'm saying.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-04 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
And it's not shitty to say that anyone who's having sex and happens to mention it is just doing so to brag about it?

(Anonymous) 2015-08-04 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
THANK YOU. Someone was being a twat and got twattiness right back. It twats deserved.

It puzzles me that so many people approach sex as a status thing

(Anonymous) 2015-08-04 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
I feel the same way, but I think it's a status thing for some people because "having sex = you are attractive" and "not having sex = you are unattractive" (note: these are NOT my views). Think about all of those movies set in (usually American) high schools where the "nerdy" character is usually the only one who hasn't had sex yet, and when they finally do get the chance to be with someone, it's only after undergoing some kind of makeover or gaining "cool" status beforehand. It's a terrible stereotype that needs to go away. Granted, I haven't seen many movies with this trope recently, so maybe times really are changing?

(Anonymous) 2015-08-04 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
But it has kind of proven true in my observation.

(Anonymous) 2015-08-04 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow no. It really depends on the quality of the sex you're having.

Sex is definitely a case in which having the wrong kind of it is way worse than having none at all, whether in terms of status or, really, of just not having a fucked up life that will haunt you forever.

[personal profile] diet_poison 2015-08-07 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
What has? That you're more attractive if you have more sex?

Assuming you're talking about conventional attractiveness (which, don't forget, doesn't equal objective attractiveness for everyone) there's probably a correlation but even then it's not gonna be a surefire indicator.
