Oddly, my two all-time favourite comic artists couldn't be more different from each other; Will Eisner and Kaori Yuki. The former is the definitive American comic book artist and the latter is the best shojo manga artist I've ever come across.

I'm also a big fan of Amanda Conner. I especially love the way she draws Power Girl; she makes her look both beautiful and badass and doesn't do ridiculous things to her anatomy! As for art I dislike... Marvel and DC's house styles from the late 1990s up to the end of the 20th century are ugly, boring, and off-putting to me. That Jim Lee pseudo-realistic crap. Yuck. If I wanted realistic art I'd read a fucking Alex Ross comic (and I don't even like Alex Ross's style that much, though I thought it worked pretty well in Kingdom Come).

Also, I will never get over how hideous Kelley Jones's art is. Just fucking LOOK at this:

Amanda Conner PG is the best. Was it her that also did the recent PG/HQ crossover? That was pretty good too.
