It sounds like the new Spiderman will be going in a YA direction.

Sometimes I wonder if Marvel won't try to permeate all cinematographic genres. Romantic comedies, horror movies, super serious dramas are still up for grabs and a few others I'm probably forgetting.

I think that's not actually a bad idea. Having such disparate genres will help keep viewers from getting super-hero fatigue.

omg Merchant-Ivory superheroes.

Another Spider-Man...

Yep. Their rebooting him yet again.

Screw the Young Avengers and give me the Runaways!

I don't know why, but I feel like a Young Avengers movie is unlikely. Maybe far, far down the road they would consider it, but I don't see it happening before like... Phase 5 or 6 or something, lol. (If they're still around then!)

But if a YA movie got made, I would want things to work out differently for Cassie. (And as much as I love America Chavez, I would want the original cast.)

Uh, thanks for the reminder that I should see this though. God, if only it was pay per view already because I don't actually feel like going to a theater for this. (Is that weird?)

Maybe Cassie will have a nice role in the film anyway? I have a friend who says as much.

I want this sooooo bad but there would have to be some serious hand waving to get all the members the right age (or just in existence).

To be fair, she's around the same age she was when Scott Lang became Ant Man in the comics. I'm more bitter about the current Ant Man comic, where Cassie seems to have been deaged and depowered to fit in with the movie.

Probably wouldn't happen until after Infinity War anyway.
