This. I don't generally have a problem with protags who people consider "too perfect", but the white savior thing was really awkward.

I've heard it argued it doesn't count as the slaves were already planning to rebel anyway, and Aly just sped things up, but I think the fact she was God Chosen to influence things and the fact that she was the reason th rebellion happened quicker (and apparently more effectively) than what the slaves themselves could have managed alone pushes over the line I imo.
