In hindsight, it's kinda hilarious how batshit everyone got.
But at the moment, it was pretty crazy and annoying.
Like, I remember a few people had sent pms to some of the BNF of the MCU fandom, that were full of lists of other BNF who "supposedly" shipped bruce/nat, and was warning everyone to unfollow and block them. It became a literal witch hunt at one point.
Like, it was that fucking stupid.

After aou came out, I had to unfollow a looot of people who were blaming and actually wishing violence upon bruce/nat shippers and Mark Ruffalo.
