Haha, I feel like Darcy shows up in everything these days, even if it's outside the MCU. (I think I even saw a crossover with Kingsman.)

I read nothing Darcy is in though (er, almost anyway), so I can't speak to her characterization in said fics.

Yep. I'm to the point where Darcy's presence as a major character is a red flag that the fic will be something I won't like.

Even moreso if it's pairing fic.

I haven't read much MCU fic since I got out of Winter Soldier fandom, but Darcy is seriously the little black dress of the MCU... She's shipped with everyone. I've seen her shipped with various characters outside the MCU too... Just, pretty much everyone.

I won't read anything where she's a main character because while I like her in the films, I don't have that much interest in her. That, and I don't ship her with anyone.
