You could always come to Vancouver, where the temperatures are a lot more moderate! Oftentimes we get winters without snow, nothing like the east coast. And the public transportation is pretty well connected.

It's not the cheapest place to live, no. But I suppose it depends which neighbourhoods you're looking at as well.

I did not know that! I've only been to Canada once before but where we went(Calgary) there was pretty much no public transport so we had to get everywhere by walking or car, it was beautiful though.

But it's good to hear that I would be able to use public transport in Vancouver, also more moderate temperatures is another bonus. :D

(What does the public transport consist of in Vancouver out of interest?)

Well, that explains why you think Canada's a frozen hell.

Calgary weather is special. It's a lot further north than the bulk of our major population centers, and its position with respect to the mountains means the weather can whipsaw wildly no matter the season.

The buses are pretty well connected around the city and nearby cities like Burnaby, Richmond, etc... We also have a skytrain system and a seabus and there are ferries.

Yeah like the other anon said, the prairies are our frozen wasteland. The rest of the country isn't like that.

/born in Edmonton, can call it a shithole if I want to
