Alcoholic beverages

So, I think I've pretty much given up on beers until I can find the peanut butter milk stout that sounds so very good to me. The only beer I've liked has been Michelob Amber Bock, and only then from the tap. There are others I've found merely tolerable (Shiner Bock among them) and I've usually had enough of them by the time I've reached the bottom of the neck bottle.

So beer is largely a waste of money for me. But I do like hard lemonades. Mike's is a favorite (even better, the hard lime, before it switched to a sweeter hard limeade), and today I tried the Jack Daniel's version. It was missing something compared to Mikes, and I can't quite tell what.

Anyone have any ideas of what that missing oomph is? Maybe it's just not as carbonated or not as tart, IDK. Also, I'll take bottled drink suggestions. I ADORE Woodchuck's Fall Harvest, but am not terribly fond of Redd's Apple. I also have an Angry Orchard cider in the fridge I haven't tried yet.

This is a beer suggestion, so I apologize for that, but do you have any experience in the realm of saisons, fruit beers, farmhouse ales, and things of that stamp? Because it might be up your alley.

I once had a sip of a "fruitcake" craft beer from a brewery/restaurant that I quite liked while traveling. I haven't seen anything comparable on the shelf, though.

I'm totally open for beer suggestions, just because I'd like to be able to order something besides water, soda and Mike's and feel like I might like it when I'm out after work.

Yeah, the problem is that they're a pretty craft-y category of beer and you probably need to be in a place where microbrews are a big thing. But I think they'd really be up your alley.

Try Guinness. If you don't like that I'd recommend a sweet stout (like a milk stout)

Have you ever tried heffeweizen? It's a lemony-citrusy tasting beer, good in the summertime.

I like some of the Angry Orchard seasonals. They're Cinnamon Apple winter seasonal is my fave, but they also have a green apple one that is very good if you like tartness.
