Unless it's mage armor that can arguably be "enchanted" (and usually mage armor is cloth with crap defensive stats anyway). And even then, if I were out running in the woods, I would want most of me covered. Think of all the insect bites, or the scratch plants!

But somethings just inherently strike me as uncool. Heels are one of them, corsets are another. Maybe because I read both of those as being inherently limiting and stifling (and maybe because I have more experience with trying to wear those every day than with some of the more outlandish outfits people try to put characters in).
Sometimes I'm willing to accept randomly impractical armor, but I do prefer if it has at least /some/ protective value, and if it's not blatant fanservicey pandering.
A cutout over the heart would drive me crazy too, though (unless, idk, complicated symbolism? Maybe?)
