Re: Myers-Briggs test
(Anonymous) 2015-08-08 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)The thing with Myers-Briggs that I think a lot of people don't really realise is that it is not a personality test like, say, your zodiac sign. While I will always be a Pisces, it's not guaranteed that I will be an INFx forever. As I grow as a person I may find myself to identify more as a ESTx ten years down the line. And the test is not a definite answer, but more of a guideline to see where you fit in among the 16 types, which again shows how you perceive the world. If I felt while reading the types that I was more of a ISTJ than anything else, I could say that even if the test said otherwise, whereas I could not say I am a Sagittarius just because I feel it fits me more.
(By dragging in astrology into this I'm not saying I believe in that. I just meant to use that as a stationary example, unlike MB that can evolve.)
