What is something you;ve had to do on a day that you A) Did not plan for B) was no fun at all.

My male cat has not been cleaning himself properly (can you teach that?). And must have recently got into something sticky. his back half and tail is covered in small mats.

We had to cut some out and try to bathe the back half of him. That was not fun at all. But we all survived.

Now I gotta try and find someplace that will shave the back half of a cat.

"Yes, we groom cats."
"How much for just half?"

I don't even know where to start to find someone to shave him! we don't got an electric razor.

My vet shaved my dog's legs once after she ran through a patch of cobblers pegs. I have no idea how she got so many stuck to her, and she was a non-shedding breed so they were really really stuck.

Might be cheaper to find a dog groomer and offer them your firstborn or something, though.

Spending the last two days in a hospital waiting room definitely qualifies.

Spend a night in the ICU, kind of sort of sleeping stretched across a couple hard plastic chairs. Every time the nurses came by to make sure my mom was still breathing and all, I'd wake up. And we'd spent five hours in the ER waiting room and four in the ER before she was moved to the ICU, so it was like two in the morning when we got into the room. Then at around 6 am, I went home, fed all our critters, changed clothes, grabbed some of my mom's stuff, and headed back to the hospital. Then I went to work. I think I slept like five hours out of 72. There's been lots of other awful ones, like "find someplace to get my dad cremated" and two separate requests to call 911, one of which involved my dad and cops and the other my mom, an ambulance, and mopping up tons of blood.
