I remember someone on FS talking about how Homestuck fans used some term to mean two people each compensating for each other's flaws. They said they didn't get that, because they were in a relationship like that once and it was exhausting. I thought "moirallegiance" was the term they used. Maybe I got confused.

In actual comic, it's a romantic (but not sexual, Trolls persue multiple kinds of romantic relationships at once) where a more emotionally adjusted troll acts as a foil to a more dangerous troll (with said dangerous troll providing them protection)The purpose is to pacify a partner who is dangerous. It's not all about being platonic soul bros forever. Though usually it's used to describe that purpose.
