Re: I feel like complete shit. TW: Weight talk
(Anonymous) 2015-08-08 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)Sustainability is the key. Change your lifestyle how you want it forever.
1200 calories strictly a day = not sustainable. No wonder you went "fuck it" and binged. Try changing your palate to enjoy healthier and lower carb things, plus don't do the pure food vs sinful food thing -> eventual bingeing. Treat yourself sometimes. I would recommend not calorie counting at all once you've given yourself an intuitive feel for what foods have what sort of carbs/protein/fats/vitamins in them. Mostly choose food that helps you feel fuller for longer - high protein, fibre, low GI, but don't forget some carbs or your mood will suffer. Work on a healthier relationship with food.
As for exercise, don't exhaust yourself with a punishing regime, you're not going to stick with it. Focus on getting more active, work up to a sustainable level that doesn't feel like punishment/self-flagellation for your sins. Find extra ways to get moving - biking as transport or leisure, taking the stairs, parking at the back of the car park, walking around the block for ten minutes of fresh air, getting a dog, etc.
Anyway, my 2c. Good luck :)
