That's fair enough! Being honest is probably the best way to go about it so the person isn't incredibly disappointed and doubts your future recommendations, but no one wants to say, "Well, this game is really fucking good, just repetitive as fuck at times. And Christ, half the main story quests are awful and you'll be praying for them to finish. Other than that though, the game is fantastic."

A mixture of good and bad is best imo, because if you tell only nice things...that's not going to end well, and of course there's no reason for the person to check it out if you only mention the negatives.
