Video games fandoms skew older than any other fandoms I've been in, even ones for classic historical novels. This really surprised me.

Mostly it's all amicable, then these grumpy vibes can come out of nowhere. Definitely a case of 'younguns get off my porch till you abide by these unspoken rules which I'm not even going to explain to you'.
