Well, I think there are two possible scenarios here. One the one hand, it could be that it's basically the question of the faculty of thinking being in conflict with the faculty of the will. And I think the only real solution in that case is to train the will.

The other possibility is that it's a conflict between rational understanding and intuition. In which case it's a matter for much deeper reflection - you really need to make sure you're 100% convinced in cases like that.
