IA with anon above...social media can be odd. I also think sometimes people don't feel comfortable commenting on serious stuff, but have no issue finding something to say when you post a selfie, or a meme, or a question about what you should eat for dinner.

Maybe people care but haven't seen it yet, or maybe there's something else going on...idk.

(It also could depend on what exactly was said. If you said, "I don't feel like posting right now" or "I think I need to spend less time online" they might not take it as something to be concerned about.)
