I'm sure Trevor will have a big audience at first because it's the Daily Show, no matter how terrible he might be. The first episode is going to have a ridiculously high viewer count.

I watched a bit of Trevor's stand-up stuff, and he is funny. But he's funny in a very different way from Stewart. I know it would have been tough to replace Jon by trying to find someone exactly like him, because inevitably, that person wouldn't match up. But Trevor just seems radically different. That might be okay, he'll make it his own and all, but I'm worried that by now the Daily Show just has an image, and anything different is going to rub people the wrong way. Him being non-American too could rub people the wrong way during election coverage and such.

Not OP, but the thing I like about Trevor is that he is politically savvy and in touch with world events. So I think it's actually good he's going to be bringing a different perspective to the show.

Yeah, I'm personally really interested to see what Trevor does, and I think it'll be awesome to hear his perspective. Plus, I think it's great visibility for South Africa and teaching Westerners that Africa is not one single country.

But I will miss Jon!
