Wow same, so far at least? I'm not done with Dishonored yet but I almost am (been playing it on and off for the last week, I'm slow) and I still waiting to figure out what the hype is with him, cause I don't see it as of yet? Maybe its the DLC...

The hype was there before the DLC and my reply above is filled with spoilers so don't look at it if you don't like being spoiled :x then the DLC exploded it

He's such a fandom darling I can only rant here. Although keep in mind he's not the #1 fave character and daud/corvo is not the juggernaut ship. It's simply that during the lulls in activity it basically gets flooded with daud and his boyband and no one else bothers going into the tag. But fic stats, the highest reblogs, the well received meta etc are rarely around daud.

Think circle jerk of daud fan regulars but not representive of the whole fandom.

I've noticed a definite hype for Daud in general and some Daud/Corvo (tho more Corvo/Outsider) but have been really unsure why, with still being in progress and all. Idk though, I've mostly been paying attention to the kind of "Emily and Corvo fatherly relationship" side of the fandom as I play the game, so.
