That does make sense, though doesn't Han kind of fill that role? Personally I've never been much of an anti-hero fan. And for my the draw is usually the fantastical things, so when you give me something like Jedi I'm not going to then be more interested in the more mundane things.

He does; you'd think he'd be enough! Perhaps the missing piece of the puzzle is that while Han is a fully-fleshed character, Boba Fett is a bit of a blank slate apart from "bounty hunter?" People can fill in all of the blanks and customize him, to a certain extent. It might be sort of like how fanfic writers will latch on to a bit of canon that's only been hinted at, because exploring it provides a bit more creative freedom/wiggle room.

I don't know. I'm just makings things up, heh.

I like anti-heroes, but in small doses. I don't like when that seems to be the only sort of character in a story; balance is a good thing. And I feel you when it comes to the fantastical things. If I'm reading or watching SF/F, I want magic or powers or incredible technology. If I wanted the mundane, I'd turn to a different genre.

I'm more interested in the Jedi too. I tend to be more interested in the people who are following the rules of this strange new world I'm trying to be invested in than in the rebels who feel the same in any world.
