Fake comedy expert, maybe, but not fake geek girl. And since I don't think she ever professed to being the former, I think it's cool to let her off the hook.

Yeah -- when I read this was part of a long book tour, I figured it was a mental slip-up or just something she doesn't know much about. It was actually more a surprise that the interviewer didn't gently point it out or something, since that sort of back-and-forth wouldn't be unusual in an AV Club feature. So that might be at least a couple people that that error slipped by.
