People would maybe agree if you were talking about not respecting Felicia Day's knowledge. The problem is that you're not just saying that, you have this whole narrative about her consciously faking her interest in things.

Again, this was not a quiz on classic comedy. This was "Pick literally any topic to talk about." And she makes confident statements on a topic of her own choice that are just wildly, crazily, 101-level wrong. How does that NOT suggest a faked interest? As OP said, any other explanation would be welcome.

I am willing to consider that it may have been faked interest - faked interest in pies in faces, the Stooges and the Marx Brothers.

Her real interests are elsewhere, like maybe modern video games.
